Peebles Library welcomes local author and survivor on Nov. 19

Church defaced with hate message

Brown Co. officials: ‘Farmyard of horrors’ discovered in Fayetteville subdivision

Brown County officials are describing their latest animal cruelty case as a “farmyard of horrors.” Deputy Dog Warden Barb Ashmore said there were 139 animals stuffed into the backyard of a Fayetteville home.

Manhunt ends with arrest of alleged bank robber

Fugitive and suspected bank robber Todd Keith led law enforcement on a multi-county chase through southern Ohio last Friday afternoon, before finally being apprehended near Aberdeen. Grand theft auto and armed robbery suspect, Todd Raymond Keith, 37, was captured late Friday night following a six-hour manhunt that involved nearly 100 law enforcement officials and the closing of bridge traffic between Ohio and Kentucky for several hours.

NWS meteorologists confirm weak tornado in Sardinia in Brown County

The National Weather Service said a tornado-warned storm near Sardinia was “strongly rotating” at around 11:20 a.m. Dispatch director Beth Neville said that three to five buildings in Sardinia suffered minor damage. Several trees and wires were reported down, Neville said, noting no injuries have been reported so far.
