ReelAbilities Film Festival to celebrate diversity in the arts

Over the next week, Cincinnati will be transformed into a film screening mecca with viewings from the Great American Ball Park, to the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Contemporary Arts Center. Friday, Hollywood actress Marlee Matlin, longtime news anchor Nick Clooney, along with Mayor John Cranley and commissioner Todd Portune kicked off the nine-day event.

Chatfield College named a Best Value School

For the second consecutive year, Chatfield College in St. Martin, located in Brown County and in Cincinnati, has been designated a Best Value School by University Research and Review, a company dedicated to improving the process of how a student selects a post-secondary school. The Best Value award committee selected Chatfield from the nearly 8,000 eligible postsecondary schools throughout the US.

Man Ejected in Accident

The Georgetown Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports a two-vehicle crash at about 4:10pm Friday at the intersection of State Route 32, and Sardinia-Mowrystown Road, in Washington Township. A 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier operated by 21-year-old Daniel L. Mignerey of Sardinia was traveling northbound on Sardinia-Mowrystown Road.

AirCare called to 2-vehicle accident in Brown Co.

AirCare was called to the scene of a two vehicle accident in Brown County Friday afternoon. The accident shut down State Route 32 at Sardinia-Mowrystown Road in Sardinia.

2 found dead in Sardinia home

Brown County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a home in Sardinia at approximately 6:40 a.m. Monday morning where a man and woman were found deceased with gunshot wounds. The home is located in the 6000 block of Stephan Road, where Brown County Coroner Dr. Judith Varnau and members of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation also responded the morning of Feb. 2, with Sheriff’s deputies and BCI units on site through the late afternoon.
